Why DMC?

Dundee’s most active mountain sports club

Hillwalking, Climbing, Mountain Biking, Skiing & more

Whether it’s a day out hillwalking or ski touring, a weekend scrambling along remote mountain ridges, or an evening at the climbing wall or biking local forest trails, there’s always something going on in Dundee Mountain Club.

flexible approach

Making the most of the weather and conditions

Only multi-day trips involving accommodation bookings need to be arranged in advance – so for everything else we don’t limit ourselves to a pre-arranged calendar of trips. In DMC you have complete flexibility to join or create a meet anytime, choosing your destination and activity to make the most of current mountain conditions.

We’re a sociable bunch

There’s more to DMC than mountains

As well as a weekly pub social every Thursday (from 8:30pm at The Bank Bar on Union Street – non-members welcome) we also enjoy ceilidhs, BBQs, formal dinners, slideshows and a myriad of other social events.

Weekends away

Club trips to spectacular mountain locations

Get away for a whole weekend every month. Stay at remote mountain huts and bunkhouses in all of Scotland’s best locations. Explore mountain areas too far to visit on a day trip – like Skye, Affric, Torridon, Assynt & beyond.

Trips abroad

Bigger mountains, bigger adventures, same craic

Fancy mountaineering on high alpine glaciers, trekking up Kilimanjaro, powder skiing in Switzerland or rock climbing in the Mediterranean sunshine? These are but a few of our ongoing adventures to date…

Membership benefits

Insurance, magazine, discounts and more

Membership offers access to club trips and socials plus many other benefits including a free quarterly magazine, club newsletters, civil liability insurance and special discounts at several outdoor retailers.
